We are thrilled to launch our very first newsletter, where we’ll share updates, training insights, stories from the field, and ways you can get involved. Whether you’re a supporter, partner, or someone just discovering our mission—thank you for being here.

Who We Are

Prison City Bloodhounds is a mission-driven organization committed to training, placing, and supporting elite bloodhounds for Search and Rescue (SAR) efforts. Our goal is simple but urgent: to save lives and serve communities by pairing highly trained K-9s with dedicated handlers, law enforcement, and SAR teams across the country.

Meet the Pack

Our latest litter of seven purebred bloodhounds—born on February 1, 2025—are now in active training. Each pup is being carefully evaluated and socialized, with several showing exceptional promise for SAR work. Others will go on to become loyal companion animals. Our goal is to place every dog where they can thrive.

Field Spotlight

This past month, one of our seasoned hounds assisted in an active investigation where their trained handler used techniques developed during years of SAR experience to locate a deceased person. Their work was so effective that law enforcement invited our team to stay on and continue assisting with the investigation. This is the kind of real-world impact your support helps make possible.

Behind the Scenes: Training and Teamwork

Training a bloodhound for SAR work takes dedication, time, and trust. It’s a team effort involving handlers, trainers, volunteers, and behavioral specialists. Our team—including Rick, Clover, and other dedicated professionals—works daily to ensure each dog receives top-tier care, enrichment, and training.
